Ray Baird
Historian and re-enactor at St. John's Church
A lifetime resident of the Richmond area, Ray Baird has a passion for American History, especially the history of Richmond.
After retiring from Verizon in 2002, Ray became active in Civil War reenactments, appeared in the film ‘Gods & Generals’, and eventually started his own tour company “Richmond Revealed.”
Upon joining the team at Historic St. John’s Church, Ray discovered a new passion: Patrick Henry and the Revolutionary War. When not at St. John’s, Ray can be found exploring graveyards in Southwest Virginia as he searches for Patrick Henry’s family.
Ray is married to the lovely Annette Martin Baird from Clifton Forge, Virginia.
