The Grateful American Foundation Partners with Feature Film Producers of Elijah and George
The Grateful American Foundation has been invited by 1663 Media Arts, LLC to be a #HistoryMatters Educational Partner in the historical drama, Elijah and George, adapted from Michael Dooling’s popular children’s book, George Washington’s Army and Me, which also features his illustrations.
The Revolutionary War is the backdrop for the character driven film, about ten-year-old Elijah’s seemingly impossible adventures as he follows his father, a farmer who joins the 6th Pennsylvania Regiment, after the Loyalists raid his farmhouse.
Based on letters and diaries from the 18th century, Elijah and George is a humorous-serious story about family, freedom, and home.
The film is a work of fiction, but some historical elements from Valley Forge, leading up to the Battle of Monmouth, are intertwined, and based on true events culled from exhaustive research and historical advisers.
Elijah and George is a family-friendly adventure that will leave audiences entertained and inspired to learn more about the founding of the United States of America. Visit the film’s website to learn more about the film.
